This week at Sanoviv has focused on functional medicine. For example, how many times have we heard “you are what you eat”? Well, here they teach that you are what you absorb. Interesting concept!
We are undergoing tests for blood, energy in our cells, the degree to which oxygen goes to all of our vital organs, and many other types of analysis. I think to be in USANA means a willingness to walk our talk, to make our health a part of our lives. Granted, there are degrees to which we can all be health nuts — part time, full time, but at least some times! Dr. Wentz’s vision is so huge. I have been taking and promoting these products since 1999. It is really here, at Sanoviv, that I can see how vast this vision really is.
There are ten of us here. We are having a ton of fun sharing our stories about the various evaluations, what we are learning about our health that we never knew, and how delicious sprouts are, meal after meal, after meal.
If you have not eaten live foods before, I recommend it. Sanoviv serves about ten bowls every meal of sprouts that they grow fresh here. They are colorful, loaded with taste, and off the charts healthy. Think: living food! It makes me glad I have made healthy choices all these years. Next stop: no gluten. I had a consultation with Sue, the nutritionist today. We discussed the prevalence of gluten in our diets and why so many people have chosen to eliminate it. With the mindset that there is always room for improvement. And when you link all this to how you feel, the healthy choices make even more sense.
