I love strawberries! Why, you are asking, is that such a big deal? I am glad you asked.
About one month ago I spent a week at Sanoviv medical center. It was a magnificent week of healthy eating, detoxing treatments, and … fresh-picked organic strawberries from the on-site garden.
Before I went to Sanoviv, I did not like strawberries. Funny thing, I love fresh fruit, but always found strawberries not particularly savory. As it turns out, I was wrong.
We were served these luscious strawberries every day at Sanoviv. On top of hot oatmeal, along side organic eggs with fresh salsa, next to flax seed tacos, and in salads.
I ate them because it was the only fruit served at Sanoviv. By the end of the week, I loved strawberries!
I am a health coach. I have been teaching people to live more successfully in their bodies since 1973. I did this through body therapy and yoga for about thirty years. I have been practicing and teaching the benefits of nutrition now since 1999. This is the only work I have ever done.
My discovery that I love strawberries confirmed what I have been preaching now to anyone who will listen. When you know something is really good for you, you may only think that you can’t embrace it. You may think that walking is too much work. You may think that whole grain pasta is too dense. You may think that taking your supplements is a hassle. But what if you are wrong, the way I was wrong about strawberries?
A simple way to put this into practice is well, to practice. I bet everyone reading this has a mental list of things you know are good for you, but for some reason, you may be resisting. The way I resisted nature’s exquisite creation — juicy, organic strawberries.
Getting healthy may be easier than you think. Also, more delicious.
Take good care of yourself. The world is a better place when you make your health a priority. You might influence someone else by making better health choices.
